Productive day, on several fronts.  First of all, I got Sandy's birthday gift made today; now all I have to do is wrap it and pop it in in the mail.

Plus Tom and I spent about 3 hours at Carol's.  He went through Marvin's shop and shed (which got him to thinking about 'one day', when people will be going through his shop) and found lots of stuff to buy.  He filled up the pickup, but the large machines/tools will have to wait until he's got somebody to help him.  Carol was thrilled to see empty space appearing in both areas because that means she will be able to move some of her boxes of fabric out there.  While Tom was busy working outside she and I (and the pooches) visited, and 'supervised' the installation of her new kitchen counter.

Dinner tonight was going to be at Sweet Tomatoes - except when we got there they were closed.  We forgot all about the renovations we had recently read about.  But it worked out okay - we ended up at Mimi's, where we ate our fill.
