I finished the Chain Link inner borders this afternoon while watching some excellent TV, like Bird Watching Across Arizona. ((PBS is currently having a fund drive, which always means one great show after another.)
Also enjoyed a documentary on The Carpenters.
And I caught some of the men's olympic diving trials.
It is truly amazing to see a diver spin through 4 ½ somersaults and hit the water at upwards of 35 mph with barely a ripple. This entry into the water with no splash is called the rip entry. The technique is so named because if executed properly on a headfirst entry into the water it sounds like someone has ripped a piece of paper, and the water looks as if it is boiling as air bubbles rise to the surface.
