My hypothesis re the washer was not correct, which is too bad because that would have been easily fixable. Turns out the motor has seized up, and replacing it would cost a fortune, probably more than buying a new one. No point in sinking that much into an old washer, so looks like we'll be shopping for a new one tomorrow.
Better news on the wall. It only took one day to tear it down, remove the old footing, and dig the trench for the new one. They will pour the new cement tomorrow - and then the new wall should start going up on Saturday!
We were able to build a barrier using the panels from the old fence along with a chain link gate "stored" in the Back 40. I sure hope that Pokey doesn’t find the temporary fencing breachable.
With a fence of sorts up Brownie now has his dog door back in service,
which is very nice for both of us.
Waking so early this morning meant it was not a very productive day for me. Aside from working some on the butterfly puzzle (the end is in sight) I mostly vegged in front of the TV.
