Spent the day with Mom, who is certainly doing a lot better than when I last saw her in May.   Andy, Sandy and I all think that is in no small part due to the aide who was coming in to help, but against our wishes Mom terminated her yesterday.  It’s frustrating since we all want the same thing, for Mom to be able to stay in her apartment as long as possible. But Mom is stubborn (like her dad) so our reasoning falls on deaf ears.

We played Rummikub, of course, and I helped her organize her closet.  

Tomorrow we may tackle the kitchen.

Alex called today to apologize for yesterday.  Seems his phone wigged out and deleted all of his alarms and reminders (he also missed a conference call for work.) I asked how last night’s concert in Denver was, and it was cancelled due to the weather. So their trip to was a waste.

Played Rummikub with Andy and Sandy tonight, and he won all three games. 

He was on a roll and left us in the dust.
