It was a sweet afternoon with Greta and Maggie, and of
course I also enjoyed visiting with Ed and Emily. Too bad Andy had to go into
work and miss all the fun, but he thought it ‘advisible’ since he’s taking off work tomorrow and Monday.
I had picked up Mom, and we arrived at Mink Hollow first.
She got the usual royal greeting from Pippa.
Of course once Mom's great-granddaughters arrived,
Pippa was somewhat upstaged.
You can tell that I enjoyed my turn with Greta.
As did Grandma Sandy, of course.
Maggie, of course was busy. First she read with Daddy.
Then she served us tea using Grandma's little teapots.
There was the piano to play with Grandma -
and the various singing animals to dance with.
Even the plant sang and danced!
And what visit is complete without a game of peek-a-boo,
this time with her great-grandmother across the table.
We certainly pigged out at lunch (thank you, Sandy!) so when Mom went down to dinner tonight I wasn't the least bit hungry. It made sense to skip dinner and just head back to Mink Hollow instead.
At some point I need to pack for tomorrow's trip to the beach house. We're planning an early start, in hopes that despite the recent article in the Post about the long backups at the Bay Bridge due to construction (at one point it was 14 miles!) we'll manage to get to The Institute in a timely fashion.
