Soaking in the hot tub this morning I noticed that the cinder block we had placed in front of the irrigation pipe (a possible escape route for Brownie) had fallen over, most likely from the rush of water coming through.  So I found the perfect use for another one of yesterday's impulse purchases, a 3-pack of 12" bungee cords:

It was delightful shopping at Target early this morning since I practically had the store to myself.  Here's the pretty new door mat for the back door.  (Costco's 'choices' yesterday were ugly plain brown ones!)

It's doubtful that Brownie will mind using the funky old one. 

Now it's time to get ready for the gym.
