Alex joined us for dinner last night.  

I had already set my alarm for 3:20 this "morning", and did not even entertain the thought of asking him to take care of letting the water go.  But concerned about my lack of sleep he volunteered, insisting it would be "no biggie" to stay up until then.  So eventually I let him talk me into it.  

Wish I could say I slept in, but it was only 4:00 when I opened my eyes.  Despite valiant efforts I could not fall back asleep, and gave up trying at 4:30.

Finished the Saturday WP crossword puzzle fairly easily, checked my e-mail, and even played a little on FB - and then got productive.  I had hoped to finish Set B before it got light, but don't think I'm going to make that 'deadline'.
