It was a productive trip to Target this morning, when I got everything on my list. Of course later I discovered that not everything made it onto the list...
At any rate, we finally have new pots/pans that are flat on the bottom, vital for cooking on our new stove. They also have vented glass lids (helpful for monitoring without lifting the lid), convenient pour lips (fewer dribbles in my future?), 'thermo-spot' heat indicators (they show when the pan is "perfectly preheated)", interior measuring marks, and they're a pretty red for gracing our table. They also came with four plastic cooking utensils, though the paperwork says metal utensils won't damage the "durable" non-stick surfaces.
Will this make me want to cook?
Alex called this afternoon (he needed the Netflix password) and it turns out he didn't go snowboarding yesterday after all, but mountain biking instead. He expects to be home sometime Wednesday for a 4-day "weekend", so maybe he'll make it up to Snowbowl next weekend, when I'm guessing there will still <g> be lots of snow up there!
And now it's time for more quilt pictures.
This segment features some of the more light-hearted quilts.
