Slept until around 6:00 - yay! when it was still dark out. Rosa arrived sometime during the night, and once it got a little lighter I could see that our street is running. Currently the rain is not coming down that hard, but slow and steady is always preferable anyway. As is usually the case, we need all the rain we can get, though according to predictions on the news last night we're not likely to get enough to make a real dent in our drought.
Speaking of news, Alex didn't want to freak us out, but last night he mentioned that he was surfing at the BSR water park in Texas (on the last day before they closed it pending investigation!) where a young man died recently from the brain-eating amoeba. When I watched the national news later last night, there was a segment on the situation, thoughit didn't mention that the young man had been in three other bodies of water that same week (which was Alex's understanding.)
