The FB algorithm keeps showing me Ice Dancing clips, no doubt because I "like" all the ones that flow across my feed.
Curious about the history of the sport, I did a search and learned that "Ice Dancing joined the World Figure Skating Championships in 1952, and became a Winter Olympic Games medal sport in 1976."
Next I searched for those 1976 medal-worthy routines ~
which of course seem rather tame by today's standards.
Gold went to Lyudmila Pakhomova /Alexander Gorshkov of the Soviet Union

While I haven't donned my boot and tried to 'walk' yet this morning, at least the portion of my foot where I banged my toes yesterday does feel less stressed this morning.
