Just as we were getting ready to head out to dinner last evening (at Poke) we were pleasantly surprised by Alex's arrival; we hadn't expected him until much later.   It was perfect timing for him to join us for another delicious dinner there.

He's had a very busy (and loooong) few days of work 

so he is really looking forward to relaxing and fishing.

He'd come straight over here (hadn't even been in his house yet) so after dinner we headed over there, ostensibly to see if there was a case of fruit punch for Mitch (there was.)  Mostly we wanted him to see the new paint job, and of course he was happily surprised.

Forgot to mention that my notecards from Vistaprint arrived yesterday.  They turned out right fine, and I've already tried one out, writing a note to Mom.  It's always fun to get mail, and she definitely enjoyed receiving my previous letter.

Tom and Alex left almost on time this morning.  They were shooting for 6:00, and Alex was over here by then... but it was Tom who wasn't quite ready.

I've got a number of things on today's schedule (including the gym, Brownie's training session, irrigation, making deviled eggs for Foothills' program tomorrow) so it would have been nice to get a better night's sleep.
