Marcie (and Latina) came over for a visit this afternoon,

 and approved of my summer fabric purchases.  

I'd hoped to have one of the quilts bound - but at least Marcie seemed pleased with how it was looking so far.  Maybe I can get the first one finished by tomorrow...

The peahen was still around this afternoon, and I got some pix of it 

on the back porch through the window.

Watched a movie this afternoon that I'd never heard of, Miss Potter, and did enjoy it. 

The story of Beatrix Potter, the author of the beloved and best-selling children's book, "The Tale of Peter Rabbit", and her struggle for love, happiness and success.

Took Tom out for his belated birthday dinner tonight. I'm stuffed!
