Not good news today from my sister:  

Our power is still out, but the dogs are making the best of a bad situation.

I'm assuming everyone is sticking close to the fireplace!  And her daughter-in-law posted that at their house (in the Houston area) they are also without power, and thus a chilly 50 degrees inside their house.

It was a little breezy and cool here, especially when clouds blocked the sun, so I just kept my sweater on while reading outside this afternoon.  

  

Tom mowed the front yard today, which had started looking quite scraggly (all the rain we had a while back made the weeds quite happy), and also did some weed-eating. While there's still lots more mowing left to do in the backyard and Back 40 (all the people snowed in would love to have that problem, right?), at least folks driving by won't start to think that our property has been abandoned!
