Brownie seems to self-regulating his food these days, a far cry from when he first arrived and scrambled to scarf it down as fast as possible while looking back over his shoulder after eat bite in case someone was coming to take it away from him.  While he certainly gets excited when he hears his alarm go off on my phone, most of the time lately he hasn't been finishing, then nibbling at the leftovers through the day.  I have actually been feeding him a little less each time, but often he doesn't join the clean plate club until shortly before his next scheduled feeding.

So when Latina came to visit yesterday afternoon there were some nuggets left in his dish.   She is obviously much more comfortable around Brownie these days, as evidenced when she decided to risk it and cruised over to his bowl to polish off his leftover goodies.  

Marcie and I kept a very close eye on things, not knowing what to expect from Brownie.  At the very least we expected him to get there first to 'dissuade' her, or possibly even growl at her.  He simply lay down near her and watched calmly, with his tail wagging the entire time.

Got a much better night's sleep last night.... YAY!
