Mystery solved!

When e-mails were indeed showing up in my in-box this morning, I tried sending my foot e-mail out again piece by piece.  That's when I discovered that it was Patti's e-mail that was causing the problem.  Texted her, and sure enough she just got a new one.

One of the e-mails that came in was from Linda.

Well, today isn’t looking good for me.  I had a really rough night last night and got very little sleep.  I think I may be getting the flu - aching body and bile taste in my mouth.  Sorry, but I’m going to have to beg off today.  I’ll sure miss seeing you gals.  Hope you have a fun time. 

We'll miss her, but I sent her some chicken soup!
