On Friday Tom picked up his copies of the long-awaited Oregon rocks book. (The pandemic caused LONG delays in its publication.) A partial view of one of his specimens even made it onto the cover; keep an eye out for the full photo in one of pix below.
In the introduction written by Barry Friedman (who collaborated on another of Hans Gamma's rock books) he advises, "Please have smelling salts on hand when you gaze at Tom Dodge's fire obsidian."
