Walking home yesterday from dropping off my car for its oil change, and then walking back to pick it up, I got to see some serious tire indentations when people couldn't wait to leave their driveways on Friday, and so had to drive across the newly paved road.  My tire "tracks" are nothing in comparison.

Did not take any "before" pix yesterday,
but here are a few of the yard after the tree trimmers left.

The Back 40 oleanders once again look like an actual hedge.

This cottonwood, which has happy 'feet' in the central irrigation ditch,
no longer sports leggy life-threatening limbs!

All the dead limbs that had been poking through the chain-link fence have all been pruned back.  I had been whittling at them a little at a time (with a somewhat dulled hand saw) but these guys saved me hours and hours and hours of work!

The jungle no longer deserves that appellation - at least until growth takes off again in the spring! And we "found" the peach tree 'alive and well' under the orchid tree (which was trimmed yesterday of about 75% of its volume.)  Who knew it would take off and grow exponentially after being tipped over during the July monsoon winds?!

Even though the peach tree looks dead, it had simply dropped all of its leaves recently.  The guys do such a wonderful job of raking that those are no longer in evidence.

The crew did LOTS more on the property, and were hard at it for about 8 hours.  But not surprisingly they could not get to everything, like the shaggy olives (just a couple of them pictured below) or the mulberries.

There's another visit (though possibly only a half day?) needed, and will depend on their schedule (Paul says they're pretty much booked through February) and our irrigation schedule (I know they're changing things up because of the holidays.)  I'll give Deb a call after I find out from Sue what we can expect water-wise.

Mitch was still working after dark last evening when he got a message that the alarm at his shop/office had gone off, so he headed home to investigate that.  Still, he had made substantial progress before he left, and of course will make more when he returns this morning; the next step should move quickly.  Here are the pix I took this morning when I went over to unlock the house so he can access his tools when he arrives for work.
